1 cup strawberries, chopped

1 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed

1/2 ounce simple syrup

2 ounces cream of coconut

2 ounces pineapple juice

Garnish: pineapple slice

Steps

  • In a blender, add 1 ounce of the rum, strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup and 1 cup crushed ice and blend until smooth.

  • Pour into a hurricane glass and set in the freezer.

  • Wash and dry the blender thoroughly.

  • In the clean blender jar, add the remaining 1 ounce of rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice and 1 cup crushed ice and blend until smooth.

  • Pour into the hurricane glass that already contains the Strawberry Daiquiri, creating a layered effect.

  • Garnish with a pineapple slice.

Tiffany's Bougie Bible select this week is AJ Consulting Company for custom epigenetic reports for health optimization. Epigenetics is the study of how your behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect the way your genes work. Unlike genetic changes, epigenetic changes are reversible and do not change your DNA sequence, but they can change how your body reads a DNA sequence. According to the his website, Dr. Anthony Jay earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Boston University School of Medicine, researching fats, hormones, and cholesterol. He’s also researched HIV inhibitors and Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Jay currently works at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota, researching stem cells, epigenetics, and infrared light.

If you’ve done 23 and Me or something similar, you can download your raw DNA data and send it to him (for a fee). He will do an in depth analysis of your DNA and send you a detailed report that he reviews via phone or Zoom for 90 minutes. Right now, the DNA analysis with a 90 minute consultation is 50% off, $330. Check him out at https://www.ajconsultingcompany.com.
